Shaping Futures: The Teacher as a Potter – Our Engagement with FNC Academy, Busika
On May 6th, 2025, FNC Academy – Busika hosted the launch of the 1 Million Teachers Black Belt Program with an inspiring orientation themed “The Teacher as a Potter.”
This session emphasized the sacred role of educators in shaping learners with care, purpose, and intentionality.
Using the P.O.T.T.E.R. Framework, teachers reflected on their purpose, the importance of collaboration, and the transformative power of a supportive learning environment.
A hands-on pot-making activity brought the metaphor to life, highlighting the delicate and deliberate craft of teaching.
Teachers concluded the session by taking a pledge to teach with renewed purpose and compassion. It marked a powerful beginning to their journey toward becoming changemakers in under-resourced communities through the 1MT program.
